  On a recent mini road trip to Austin my hubby and I were pleased to find a ton of Vegan Food Carts had cropped up...well,um... like over night! There were so many we are going to have to go back to check out the others! yay! Luckily it is only a hop, skip, and a jump away! Anyway the locals (our friends) said the addition of the Austin food carts was due to the crazy economy and the carts were just a much more affordable option for small family owned businesses. Oh, Those Austinites ...they are always able to take lemons and make a very delish vegan lemonade! Our first stop was the Vegan Yacht! Owned by a husband and wife team... great service and yummy food! I had the Freeto Burrito and Kyle (hubby) had the Mock chik'n salad wrap! Both were very yummy! However, the Mock chik'n salad was slightly awesomer! Iggi's is named for the owners rescued pooch for the full story you will have to visit Iggi's in person.... As for the food Kyle had the BBQ sandwich and I had the Grilled cheese (daiya) on Panini with mac n' cheeze! Super delish comfort food and great service! We especially loved Room Service Vintage (see link below)! Anyway we had been told they had lavender chocolate and vegan donuts so we had to check this one out! Soooooo yummy! I had the Garbanzo Tuna wrap the best tuna alternative I've had....and my hubby had the Jackfruit BBQ equally delish! We loved the lavender chocolates and the donuts turned out to be healthy donuts( not flour) so that was even better!   Room Service Vintage!! The atmosphere is peaceful and calm and just lovely! The food is mostly organic whole foods with tons of vegetables and greens! The desserts are very low sugar and lots of raw options....so good! Also one of the best deals in town with a $6.50 breakfast buffet. You gotta check this out!
